Editor's Note

The classic UFO community is like a jar of muddy water. If you wait and watch long enough and are really, really thirsty, you just might be persuaded to partake of the liquid at the top part of the jar, and having done so, feel somewhat refreshed and relatively protected from consuming deadly bacteria. Just so, if you patiently wait and watch the UFO jar, the slime will go to the bottom and the reasonably clean stuff will ripple in relative clarity upon entering.

This issue is a microcosm of that jar. One look at the unprecedented investigative section on Dan Burisch, and some thirst-slaking, clean refreshment can be had just by seeing one byline—that of George Knapp (seen above, next to a woman who could be said to be in one of her more flattering poses). Knapp has repeatedly dared to cross a taboo that other, more noted journalists are simply too many wusses to even consider: covering UFO events and people. Knapp, award-winning newsman for a network affiliate, has suffered for it, to be sure. But once again, he went out of his way to get the real skinny on someone who’s already gotten far more attention than warranted. We trust that this particular someone will soon settle into the bottom of the jar. We trust, also, that such a compilation of facts and beliefs about a single individual claiming to talk to ETs will never be found elsewhere—until, perhaps, the secrecy veil is lifted once and for all.

Some of you may feel that those nasty Reptilians have also gotten more attention than they’re worth. Maybe we’ve been in this business too long, but we’re willing to softly entertain the notion that there could be some reality to this cold-blooded side of presumed alien heritage—even if such reality is rooted only in tales from the distant past and rehashed in imaginations alive in the present. And so the intrepid Sean Casteel set about piercing the myth, and the results are in keeping with our high standards!

So savor the contents herein. And prepare for more UFO Magazine dynamite next issue, which precedes the presidential election. Surprises are in store.
