We have been having a whirlwind time here on the East Coast these past few weeks! I am very happy to report that we made it through the hurricane intact and in one piece, except for a few very large branches that narrowly missed our house but definitely dinged an ancient rhododendron. I hope it will live.
The last few weeks have been a challenge, and my work on the magazine has slowed down a whole lot. I apologize for that, but I hope to be spending the coming holiday weekend catching up and getting the latest issue to press.
It’s going to be a fabulous issue, as usual! We always have more articles than we have room for, so each issue I have to move a few pieces to the next issue, and this time is no exception. Also, I am trying to make important room for all the wonderful cartoons we receive, which are near to my heart. I love the fun of the toon!
This lack of room and general abundance of good material is going to be part of the topic on this week’s Future Theater radio show, so tune in when you can. If you can make it any Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, you will be in for a treat. It’s a party, and you are invited to listen and chat with like-minded friends.
If not, check out the archives and keep an eye on your mailbox. That all-important next issue will be on its way to you soon! Now, back to the sticks and the stones. And I don’t mean the Big Blog, but there’s that, too.
