On the way to San Jose ...

I finally get the song: no traffic to speak of, no smog, the bus from the airport to the hotel to the Caltrains station is completely free, the train station itself looks like a blown-up version of the Plasticville station you had when you were a kid, if you had an electric train set. What a great setting for a stress-free conference on UFOs.

With Farah Yordözü here to talk about the Turkish UFO community and what they’ve found and Jesse Marcel, Jr., here to talk about his experiences and the experience of his father, there is a lot going on. I was pleased to see Ruben Urarte here, not only talking about the Mexico Roswell, but talking with the MUFON folks about the new project he’s working on. And Paul Stonehill has come here as well to talk about the new book he’s writing, his work on the paranormal, and, of course, Russian UFOs.

Steve Bassett is here, talking about the exopolitics of the potential relationship between our government and whomever might be out there or down here from out there. Steve is a lobbyist as well as a former candidate for the 8th Congressional District in Maryland and consistently argues that it would in the best political interest of the United States for those in power to admit to our government’s having had contact with an extraterrestrial presence and then move on from there.

Not only clear the air, so to speak, but finally come clean with the very people who are the subjects of alien contact and all the disorientation and even invasive forms of abuse that that may entail. At the very least, pull back the veil just to show that Americans, and other people on this planet for that matter, haven’t been simply living behind a wall of delusion or denial for over sixty years. The revelations of the Walter Haut memo at least suggest that.

Lloyd Pye will talk about the Starchild skull, that strange and possibly extraterrestrial artifact discovered by a young girl in Mexico decades ago. In our very brief conversation on Saturday morning over breakfast, Lloyd and I talked about some of the tantalizing clues surrounding the starchild skull and why the simple argument that this is a deformed skull just doesn’t make any sense. Deformaties of that magnitude and at that period in history would have resulted in the death of that child. She would never have reached the age of nine or even five or six. Even today, modern medicine would have a hard time sustaining a child with the kind of brain defects the deformity of her skull would have presented. So we’re left with testing that skull to see what the DNA tells us. And if it tells us there’s strange DNA in that mix, then the human evolution people have a real problem on their hands.

On Sunday, I’m going to talk about the anatomy of a cover-up in the Chicago O’Hare airport case and cover-ups in general with reference to Walter Haut. The secret of the cover-up, of course, is not that you have to hide something -- because you really can’t -- but just to ignore it even when people are screaming about it. Laugh at the screamers if you can, so that their screaming becomes self-defeating and they wind up screaming at one another. This is actually what has happened to the UFO movement over the past sixty years.
